Shal began her career at Malaysia's largest plastic surgery center, where she practiced as a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon until 2014. In 2015, she relocated to Houston with her family in search of a better balance between her professional passions and quality time with loved ones — and found a new purpose in treating acne. Her surgical background gave her a medical-grade understanding of skin, tissue, healing, and scarring that most acne providers simply don't have, and she channeled that expertise into building something different: a dedicated acne clinic where results are the only standard. Today, every AcneFix team member is trained in-house, follows our proprietary CLEAR protocol, and receives ongoing mentorship — ensuring that every client, at every location, receives the same consistent, high-quality care that Shal built this practice on.
