AcneFix is the brand name of Quintessential Esthetics and Laser LLC (“AcneFix,” “we,” “us” or “our”). We run acne treatment centers in Cypress, Katy, Sugar Land, The Heights and The Woodlands, Texas.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit acnefix.com, book an appointment, buy our products or visit our centers; how we use it; and the choices you have. By using our website or services, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you book an appointment, contact us, complete an intake form, create an account, buy products or sign up for updates, we may collect:

Contact details: name, email address, phone number and mailing address.
Skin and health information: skin type, acne type and history, treatments and products you have used, medications, allergies and other details relevant to your skin care, plus progress photos taken during treatment (with your permission).
Account details: username and password for your online account.
Purchase and payment details: products and services bought and billing address. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
Age and guardian details: date of birth, and for clients under 18, a parent or guardian’s name and contact details.
Messages: what you send us through forms, email, phone, text or social media.

Information collected automatically. When you use our website, we and our service providers collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages you view, links you click, the site that referred you and your general location (city level, based on IP address). This is collected with cookies and similar technologies (see below).

How we use your information

To book, confirm and remind you of appointments.
To create and adjust your personalized treatment plan and track your progress.
To process payments and ship product orders.
To answer your questions and provide customer support.
To send you updates and offers, if you have agreed to receive them.
To run, secure and improve our website, including preventing spam and fraud.
To meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations and protect our rights.

We do not use your skin or health information for advertising.

How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:

With service providers who work for us and may use it only for that work: appointment booking and payments (Square), website hosting (WP Engine), our website contact forms, email and text messaging tools, analytics providers and our web developers.
With financing providers, you choose. If you apply for CareCredit, you share your information directly with them under their privacy policy.
When required by law — for example, a court order or valid legal request — or to protect the safety of our clients, staff or others.
In a business sale or transfer. If AcneFix is merged, sold or restructured, your information may transfer to the new owner, who must honor this policy.
With your permission. For example, we will only post your before-and-after photos or testimonial if you give us written consent.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about appointments and your treatment. Marketing texts are sent only with your consent. Reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. We do not share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:

Essential cookies that make the site, forms, account and checkout work.
Security tools such as Google reCAPTCHA on our forms, which collects device and usage data to block spam. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms apply.
Analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager) that show us how visitors use the site.

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies on our website.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

Our site links to other sites (such as our online store, social media and review sites). Their own privacy policies apply there.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
delete your information, unless we must keep it by law (for example, treatment records).
stop sending you marketing emails or texts (you can also use the unsubscribe link or reply STOP).

Depending on where you live, including under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, you may have additional rights, and you may appeal if we decline your request by replying to our decision. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights. We respond within 45 days and may need to confirm your identity first.

Children and teens

Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it. Clients aged 13 to 17 need a parent or guardian’s consent before treatment, and parents or guardians may contact us about their teen’s information.

How we protect your information

We use encrypted (HTTPS) connections, secure hosting, access limited to staff who need it, and reputable payment and booking providers. No system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

How long we keep information

We keep treatment records for at least 7 years after your last visit, or longer if the law requires. We keep marketing preferences until you unsubscribe, and other information only as long as we need it for the purposes above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and tell you directly about any major change.
